The Paris Olympic and Paralympic Games. The Men’s European Football Championships and Copa America. The Tour de France. Wimbledon.
These are just some of the events gracing the northern hemisphere summer of 2024, but are these sporting extravaganzas set to become a thing of the past?
The ‘Rings of Fire’ report, a study released by climate scientists ahead of this year’s Paris Games, warns that summer Olympic and Paralympic Games may be a thing of the past due to rising global temperatures.

In our latest Relative Connect webinar, Alex Smith, Co-Founder and Partner at The Sustainability Group, joined Relative Insight's Matt Rattée and Alister Houghton to explore what sports organizations should be doing to improve their efforts around sustainability.
The trio also highlighted key findings from our joint report: Sports fans on sustainability: What do they say and what does this mean for organizations?
